Artists Resonating The Shift

If you read my initial discussion on "Artists Resonating The Shift - an Introduction", you have an idea of the mission behind the ARTShift organization.

When I first posted about my idea for this organization on Myspace, one of my friends asked me for details on what the plan was for it.

My reply to her was:

"This is in infancy stages, so further details are evolving...
I'm not driving this, just setting it in motion and laying out the seeds of the idea and the foundation...

It will be a group creation, crafted by the collective ideas... including yours :)"

I have a vision of it, but one mind alone will not bring it into being...

so...
A good question each of us who is interested can ask ourselves:

What can we do - individually and collectively - to foster The Shift to a more positive consciousness and communicate that to others?

we have the tools at our disposal...

All ideas welcome!!!

We all can press on, and I as one shall again begin to unfold our inner beauties - our gifts, talents, passions, dreams, etc. ;>D

However, that'll be momentarily because I'll be now posting a blog about this finally! ;>]

Well...not to overstate the obvious, but, first and foremost--we have to live it. We all (as I believe we all are, which is why we're here) have to be on the journey to higher awareness and the pursuit of our highest vision of ourselves. Second is the communication factor. We have to get that out to other people--people we meet in person, online or however else we meet. Obviously there is word of mouth (again overstating the obvious--but, I'm doing this because our first conclusion, by virtue of being artists working within a collaboration of other artists, might be to jump straight to our art itself), word of blog...and, of course, reflect it in our work.

To create a body of work dedicated to moving people from where they are to that higher vision within their souls...could that possibly be the most noble of artistic pursuits? When I decided that I wanted to create my own band, I made a conscious decision that I would use my music to bring people together, to unify, rather than use it to divide and create sides or point fingers. What kind of power could possibly be unleashed by a unified vision of a total body of creative work--pencil, paint, poetry, drama, film/video, prose, music, graphic arts, sculpture, etc--directed with the positive goal of bringing about the transformation of people to a higher awareness and acceptance and unity?

Here's a thought: we pick one weekend a year. We all come together to share art, music, food and public speaking or readings. If each of us invites a couple of people, we find a venue where we can set up booths and a stage. We serve as each others' roadies and assistants and we have a great time....the next year we do it again at a different location and the original group each invites a few friends and so on and so on....and we watch it grow.

This is a brilliant idea, Rori... I love it!
I know we can do this... and from humble beginnings spring great things.
With each step it grows...

One venue to start with could be a unitarian church - they tend to have a decent facility and maybe a little land so that we could do something indoors and outdoors, and they may be open to the idea. They are also non-denominational, so it keeps with a universal theme.....something to think about....

Great idea! I was thinking about that, too... the one in Ft. Lauderdale we went to to see Christine Kane at would probably be a great place for us to start down here. I remember that one being a pretty nice venue. I imagine we can fine a few others, as well...

And you're right... their non-denominational status would fit in with the universal nature of the organization :)

Good thinking, girl!
